The New Me (Hair anyway)

As some of you may know, Sunday evening is when I get together with 2 of my most favorite people and we scrap. Well, this Sunday, I got a new "do" courtesy of Lori Boyd! Bet you didn't know this girl was talented in hair too. Anyway, here are the before and after pics.

Needless to say, I didn't get much scrapping done. It was a great time anyway. I guess I will have to make up for it next week! I am itching to use all my new stuff.

I've been pondering...

For a week or so I have really been thinking about something and I would love to hear your thoughts. As some of you may know I have a 13 year old daughter, who is very mature for her age. She is not "boy crazy" like I was at her age but she is starting to notice and get noticed.

Now, My hubby and I have talked about the whole "purity vow" and the "Purity Ring" that goes along with it. I like the idea of it and I feel it gives a visual aid to some decision you may have to make. Does anyone out there in blogger land have anything negative or positive to say in this regard?

I don't want it because it's the IN thing to do I want to consider it because it's a helpful thing. A child that is commited to other things can be commited to staying pure in this unpure world!

Bummer Sunday!

One stuffy nose (Rachel), one runny nose (Kate), One jammed index finger(Emma from basketball clinic), one soar throat (me) and one lost tooth (Rachel) makes for one bummer of a Sunday! We are all on the mend and healed in the name of Jesus.

Sundays are usually a day of family time with lunch after Church and sometimes a nap. Most Sunday evenings I get to scrap with my peeps (Lori and Bekki) but not today. I miss you guys and can't wait for next week!!!!! Rest was on our agenda and we are ready for a busy week. I hope all is well with you and you are blessed this week!

Can you say "BLESSED"

Last night and this morning I had the opportunity to attend a conference just for mothers. Our local MOPS group (mothers of pre schoolers) put together the event and the guest speaker was Jill Savage. All I can can is I feel BLESSED! Jill gave a wonderful perspective on marriage and motherhood. I enjoyed her so much that I would love to go to her conference in Illinios. I pray a blessing to her and all who had the opportunity to attend.

Now, Off to a family reunion!

Just call me soccer mom!!!!

Last night I went to watch my oldest daughter play soccer about an hour away. Her team won GO COUGARS! and we had a great time. I cherish my time with her as I know the time is drawing near that I will get less and less one on one with her.

As I was watching her kick the ball and defend herself against other players, I looked around and saw all the other parents standing and cheering for her. My eyes filled with tears (thank God for sunglasses) and I realized how proud of her I am. There is something about watching other people love and support your child! She didn't score (almost) but she played well and I have to say I am looking forward to a busy season of being a soccer mom!

A day at school!

Today has been a good day! I volunteer at my daughters school every Wednesday which means I got to have lunch with my girls and spend the day in a place that I love. Somerset Christian School is a place that is truly dear to my heart and I pray many Blessings on this wonderful mission field.

A first for me!

This is a tile we did in my Stampin Up! Class. We stamped this tile and then used blender pens and chalks to fill it in. I love the idea of this and had a great time. It was interesting to see the differences in the tiles after we were all done. I'm ready to do some more!
