Mema turned 82 years old!

This is my husbands mema who just celebrated her 82nd birthday. We had a big party for her and I manged to get some really good pictures of the whole family so I decided to work on an album for her. This is the 1st page of the book since it's her children. I hope to work on it more this weekend and have something else to post.

I love placing ribbon this way

I think it is so elegant!

I am using the Simply Scrappin Kit "ROSE COTTAGE" from stampin up! This is just a cardstock sticker and I used the white uniball pen to detail.

I have talented friends!

This is a look at all of the wonderful "Homemade" cards I recieved at my party! I do feel like this was my favorite part of the night, there is something about knowing that someone took the time to make an original card just for me. Thanks to everyone these wonderful creations will be cherished forever.
I must tell you who these came from...the top left (orange & Blue) is from Chrissy, Middle (bright pink) is from Lorena (she isn't even a scrapper, how sweet), top right (stripes) Is from Lori, bottom left (pink and green) is from Bekki, bottom middle (pink and white) is from Jamie (she just started in cards, she will be hooked soon) and bottom right (yellow) is from my wonderful hubby (with a little help from Lori, hehe)

My Amazing Friends!

I have the MOST AMAZING friends! My birthday is tomorrow the 22nd and they threw me a Suprise party last night, and Yes I was suprised. It was definitely one of my most favorite days. a little change

It's funny how it looks OK in person but when I saw the picture It looked like it was missing something. So, I added the scallop circle and also the pink background for the green. I think it looks a little more "Finished" Your thoughts???

Bella's Bloom

Just a quick little something to try out my new set "Bella's Bloom" I wish I had more time but this is all I could get done. It's a cute set, I think I will use it alot!

simplicty

Bekki, Lori, and I went shopping yesterday and I bought my first set of clear stamps at Michaels. Here is a card I made with one of them and it is heat embossed with a glittery powder, I can get the more technical name if anyone cares. This is ribbon I bought from Big Lots for $1 for 15 YARDS! What a bargain!!!!

My Girls!!!!

Another One

This card is the direct result of 2 or 3 mess ups and I just put them all together and came up with this. Everything on this card is Heat Embossed so it looks better in person!

Well, I got the "Snow Swirled" Stamp Set yesterday and it is Beautiful! Here is my first attempt at using this set and I can't wait to make more! I was looking on SCS and those ladies have made this stamp look really good, I'm casing a couple of those and just need some time.

Color Throwdown Challenge 13

The Challenge asked for "So Saffron" "More Mustard" and "Baja Blue"

Sadly I don't have Baja Blue so I used Soft Sky instead.

My 1st B-Day Card

Sadly, this is my 1st attempt at a Birthday Card. This is also my first time to paper piece! Look at me, branching out, who knows what I will dare to try next? HAHA

Small Changes

I fixed it! I didn't like the ribbon before because it looked like a cross so I changed it up a bit. Tell me what you think!

Simple

I saw this in the galley at SCS and loved it... This was the first time I used Ink AND Versamark together. I heat embossed with Irridescent Ice after stamping Versamark THEN Chocolate Chip. I love the result and will be trying this more often.

Now that I see these on the screen , i"m not sure I even like them. The bow looks a little like a cross, I might have to play with these a bit!
